I have a WaMu credit card (love it because it has a good interest rate AND I can see my credit score 24/7 at no charge). They are in trouble financially for the same reason as a lot of other banks are. So if they go under or get sold or some other catastrophic thing happens to WaMu (or indeed to any credit card issuer), what happens to my credit card account? Can they demand all outstanding balances as immediately due and payable?

I applied for a credit card from Credit One bank after I got an offer in the mail, but now that I got it I decided that I don’t want it or need it. Apart from that, the annual fee is ridiculous. They already sent me the statement for a $75 annual fee with a min payment of $20 even before the card itself arrived. Can I just not activate the card and ask them to close the account? I don’t need the card and that annual fee is ridiculous.

My friend lives in Morocco and would like to get a Visa or MasterCard credit card to make online purchases. Unfortunately, no banks in this country, to our knowledge, issue credit cards. Is there an international bank or other solution? A low-limit card will suffice. Thank you

I am one of those people starting to realize that having no credit is worse then bad credit. I’m wanting to get a new car (all of the cars I’ve had up until this point were paid in full) and I know that im going to need some sort of credit. Soo.. im wanting to get a credit card..to establish credit. What card should I get? And how do I go about getting it?…please only serious answer. Thanks.

I have a low interest rate credit card through my University, however it offers no cash back or rewards program. I am solely looking for a good VISA,not anything else, rewards or cash back program that doesn’t get carried away with high interest rates.

I just recieved a debit/credit card from downey savings(my bank) and i activated and all and now i need to know how it works. I gues when you use debit the money comes out of you checking acount, but what about when i select credit, what happens then, if i dont have any money on my checking acount, will they just send me payments with % every month for how ever long.

A secured credit card or a unsecured credit card? From my experience, I got an unsecured card which started out with a $250 credit limit and also had a fee for obtaining the card. Within a year the credit limit went up to $900 then I cancelled it when better offers came in % wise. That was a good start for me. But my bro-in-law is asking about secured credit cards? Which is better and will they both help rebuild your credit in the same way?
